Innovative investments to meet your needs

January 01, 2021

Our clients’ situations constantly evolve, as do financial markets. When changing conditions make it more challenging to deliver returns, clients benefit from our decades of experience in the capital markets and our resources and expertise to steward their wealth using traditional and alternative investments.

We provide clients with access to alternative asset classes that are typically available only to pension funds and other institutional investors.

Our clients’ desired outcomes drive the innovation of our investment range—we add new asset classes only when it makes sense for our clients’ diversified multi-asset class portfolios. We draw on our institutional roots and, over time, we have provided clients with access to an investment line-up that includes traditional stocks and bonds, as well as alternative asset classes—hedge strategies, real estate, infrastructure and private loans—that typically have been available only to pension funds and other institutional investors. When incorporated into a balanced portfolio, alternative investments can improve diversification and enhance returns compared to a traditional portfolio.

Together, we will create your custom portfolio using our many investment styles and strategies. Affiliated, independent, specialist teams from within Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group manage each asset class, adhering to their own focused investment process. This ensures consistency over time and diversification by region, style and sector. In addition, you will have the flexibility to also adopt a responsible investing approach that is right for you—as a signatory to the United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment, we integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into the heart of our investment process and asset ownership policies and practices.
