Dan joined CC&L Private Capital in 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Prior to his current role, he was a senior member of the asset allocation team responsible for the portfolio management and implementation of the firm’s strategic and tactical asset allocation strategies, supporting the team in macroeconomic research, analysis, and investment management strategies. Within the role, Dan would oversee portfolio strategies of high net worth, institutional, foundation, and non-profit clients. He has knowledge and experience across the firm’s asset class strategies, from the capital markets to alternatives, including real estate, infrastructure, private loans, and market neutral hedge strategies. He also led the firm’s socially responsible initiatives both internally and externally, and was appointed Principal of the firm in this previous role. He relishes the opportunity to bring his investment acumen and experience to this client relationship role.
Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He is active in the local community and has served on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations; currently he is Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Richmond Hospital Foundation.
Born and raised in the Vancouver area, Dan enjoys both the local outdoors as well as travelling to new places. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children, and their friends and family.
